When and Where I Grew Up
timer Published Date:30th Jan, 2016

When and where I grew up
there was no electricity
there was sunshine and light
there were no vehicles, concrete roads, or traffic
we walked everywhere to our delight
there was no complexity
life was straightforward and slight
there were no skyscrapers or super markets
all we needed was in sight

When and where I grew up
there was no pollution
air was natural and salubrious
there were no cell phones or internet
communication was glorious and multifarious
there were no swimming pools or playgrounds
rivers, lakes, and fields were gorgeous
demands and supplies did not bargain
resources were sustainable and cornucopious

When and where I grew up
there were less rivalries in pointless pursuits
people were more friendly and plain
there were less insecurities and doubts
plenty of trust and harmony were in chain
deceits or bondages were rare
truth and freedom stayed in domain

When and where I grew up
I was as happy as I am now.
Isn’t it intriguing, why and how?
